Shreya Dhanwanthary (born 29 August 1988) is an Indian actress, model, and writer who primarily works in Hindi and Telugu language films and web series. She gained popularity after playing the role of Zoya in the Amazon Prime Video web series The Family Man in 2019 and received critical acclaim for her portrayal of journalist Sucheta Dalal in Sony LIV’s web series Scam 1992 (2020).

Early life and education:
Dhanwanthary was born on 29 August 1988 in Hyderabad to a Hindi-speaking father and a Telugu-speaking mother. When she was two months old, she moved to Dubai with her parents. She grew up in the Middle East and Delhi. Dhanwanthary completed her graduation in Electronics and Communication Engineering from NIT Warangal. She participated in Femina Miss India South 2008 when she was a third-year engineering student and placed as the 1st runner-up. Later, she competed as a finalist in Miss India 2008.
Career:
Soon after Miss India 2008, Dhanwanthary was offered a role in the Telugu films Josh and Sneha Geetham. In 2019, She made her Bollywood debut in 2019 with the film “Why Cheat India” opposite Emraan Hashmi. In 2022, she will be seen in the Netflix film “Looop Lapeta” alongside Tahir Raj Bhasin, which is a Hindi adaptation of the 1998 German film “Run Lola Run”.
Dhanwanthary gained widespread recognition for her role as Zoya in the web series The Family Man of Amazon Prime Video for season 1 in 2019. She reprised her role in season 2 in June 2021. In 2020, she played the lead role of Sucheta Dalal in the web series Scam 1992, based on the 1992 Indian stock market scam.
In 2021, Dhanwanthary played the role of Mansi in the Amazon Prime web series Mumbai Diaries 26/11. Directed by Nikkhil Advani and produced by Emmay Entertainment, the series features Konkona Sen Sharma, Mohit Raina, and Tina Desai in lead roles.
Dhanwanthary has also authored a book titled Fade To White. She was ranked at 43rd place in The Times of India’s “Most Desirable Women List” in 2020.
